Outline




Emergency Management Conference 113 will be held on May 29 to May 31 at the Mecure Sydney.

The conference will cover a wide range of issues including:

  • USAR training
  • Operational debriefs / lessons learnt
  • Desktop exercise
  • Psychological screening
  • Self care refresher
  • Planning and policy update
  • Equipment distribution
  • ICT updates and software distribution
  • Deployment preparedness
  • Technical inspection
  • Operation centre visits
This  will be an opportunity to welcome new members of the team, network with other team members and also to farewell and thank Rod Murphy.

The program is presented here. Please check this page occasionally for the latest update as the program may  be adjusted (some items may also be dropped if time restrictions prevent us from covering the topic adequately).

Location

EEM 113 will be hosted by the Mecure Sydney Hotel


The hotel is located on Railway Square between George and Lee Streets (it is quite close to McKell and can be easily seen from the upper levels). The Mecure Sydney is a short walk from Central Station (use the Devonshire Street pedestrian tunnel).




The hotel has 8 levels of undercover car parking available for 120 vehicles. Note: The car park has a height restriction of 2.1 metres.

Access to the hotel car park is via Little Regent Street
turning left off George (west bound) or
left off Lee Street (city bound)
Location of Four Elements Restaurant

Location of Meeting Rooms (initially Museum)

WiFi (free) is available for us for the duration of conference on Level 2

Bar and Restaurant (just across the road from the Mecure) is recommended.
